Re B4, restricted choice: I’ve read about restricted choice. Confusing. I thought I understood. Then I didn’t. And now I have a new question. Looking at B6 I laid out the scenarios for nine hearts missing QJ62. There are 16 possible scenarios, 8 have the J in east, 8 have it in west. On trick 1, the Q falls from west and the 2 from east. This eliminates all scenarios where either player started with a void, the queen was in east, the 2 was in west, or the J or 6 were singleton. This leaves the following possible starting scenarios: QJ6 QJ 62 Q6 J2 J62 Again, half the scenarios have the J in east – but one scenario where it is in west was where west started QJ6 and dropped the Q. If we eliminate that, now it’s 2 out of 3 east has the J. Is that right? So restricted choice works if we assume west would not drop the Q from QJ6. Interesting thought: what if west dropped the Q from QJ6? Am I missing anything?
