Privacy

To book: your name and email address. For private lessons that are played on Bridge Base Online or talked through by phone, your phone number and BBO username too — without them the lesson can't happen.

If you fill in the student profile: your playing level, the bidding system you use, a link to your convention card, and anything you tell us about your bridge background. All of it is optional and only helps your teacher prepare.

Questions and hands you post on a class page, so they can be answered in the session. Other students see your question but not your name.

Payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal. Your card number never reaches our servers; we keep a record of what was paid, when, and a reference from the payment provider so we can refund it.

Zoom — your name and email are used to register you for the class or lesson so Zoom can send you your personal join link.

Stripe and PayPal — to take payment and issue refunds.

Resend — the service that delivers our emails (receipts, confirmations, reminders).

Supabase and Vercel — where the site and its database are hosted.

Twilio — delivers text messages to our instructors. Students are never texted.

Vimeo and YouTube — host the videos on lesson pages. Playing one is a visit to that service; we load both players in their no-tracking modes.

That is the full list. Each of these processes your information only to provide the service described. We do not share, sell or rent your information to anyone else.

A student's phone number is used only so an instructor can call for a lesson that is talked through by phone. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not text students at all.

Our instructors can choose to receive booking-request text messages at a mobile number they enter themselves. Those messages come from Wolpert Bridge only.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

We send receipts, booking confirmations, cancellation notices, and reminders before a lesson. Reminders can be switched off in your profile; the others are records of a transaction and are sent as long as you have an account.

If you start booking something and don't finish, we may send you one reminder that it's still there — once, never more, and never if you've told us to stop. Every one of those carries a link that switches them off without signing in.

We don't send newsletters from this site.

One cookie keeps you signed in. Your cart is kept in your own browser, not on our servers, until you check out. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them for accounting and to handle refunds. If you want your account and its information deleted, email support@wolpertbridge.com and we'll do it, keeping only what the law requires us to keep about past payments.
