B4. You said if one opens 1h it's going to be hard to stop in 3nt and you'll probably end up in 4h. If you open 1nt you'll get to 3nt and get a better board. I agree it's a 1nt opening, but i still get to 4h. 1nt-3c-3h-4h. How would I get to 3nt?
Playing matchpoints its probably better to just bid 3NT. You have 29 to 31 points and an extra source of tricks in diamonds. 3♣ might get doubled for the lead on a hand you just belong in 3NT, so there is as much downside as upside, but more importantly NT pays more and you have lots of combined high cards.
Bd 2. After E raises to 2S, I suggested that W should give p the option of playing in NT rather than 4S. No?
