Hello Gavin. Board 3. If you happened to have an 8-card heart suit and 9 points, as here (perhaps xx club), would you open 4H with an outside Ace. For some reason I thought it was not a good idea to have an outside Ace at game level. Thank you.
Having an outside ace for a preempt is a bit of a flaw, but you absolutely can still open 3H or 4H if that's the only problem. It can still be the best option available.
