At my table on bd 5 lia did not bid 1 heart but rather 2nt...and when I rebid 3nt lia bid 4d slam try ...weended in 5d for 1 7%😭
Board 8: the most common overcall today (8/20/2024) by South was 3S. The suit appears to be one that justifies preempting 3 level with only 6 non-vul, but your video didn't comment on that one way or the other.
South can preempt, and certainly has the right type of hand for it. But it's worth noting that once the opponents have found a fit already, there is much less benefit to a preempt.
On board 1, how crazy is a reopening double by N after P-P-P - 1♣ - 1♦ - 1♠ - P -P
Personally I don't think it's crazy. It's nice in this situation to be a passed hand so partner won't think you have a very strong hand, but will just understand you are fighting to push the opponents higher.
